Having a plan and taking the time to plan your day will ensure you spend all the time you want in the park, while getting the most out of your visit. Here are some ideas to help you plan your perfect day in the Park.
Festival of Fantasy Parade & Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire
During the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, the Festival of Fantasy Parade and Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire will return to the Magic Kingdom for a limited time. Both are Disney stage shows that will feature familiar Disney characters and will be held in front of Cinderella's Castle.
The Festival of Fantasy Parade is a Disney show that celebrates New Fantasyland. The parade features floats and units that are uniquely designed to showcase Disney's most beloved characters. The parade's finale features a 90-foot caravan of Disney characters. The parade winds through the Magic Kingdom park on Main Street, USA, and will be performed daily.
The show will feature characters from Disney films like Tangled, The Princess and the Frog, and Frozen. The Float featuring Maleficent, the fire-breathing dragon, will reach a height of 25 feet, and will be the star of the show.
The Festival of Fantasy Parade will be a fun and colorful show. There will be new music and floats to enjoy. The best way to see the show is to catch it on a sunny day at the park.
In the Festival of Fantasy Parade, you will meet a variety of Disney characters, including Fab Five, Pegasus horses, dancing hippos, and Bubble Girls with cotton candy-like hair. The Parade will also feature unique floats that showcase Disney's favorite princesses. The show will include a special finale with a new song.
The Festival of Fantasy Parade will be back at the Magic Kingdom in March 2022. In honor of the 50th anniversary, the show will be featured in new costumes, and will be played out on a new soundtrack. The new soundtrack features a few nods to some of the most popular Disney films.
The Festival of Fantasy Parade is geared towards all ages. It will feature familiar Disney characters, but will also include newer characters that aren't seen as often at the park. If you plan to see the show, you will want to arrive early to get a good view of the stage. The weather may also affect the performance.
Magic Kingdom Park
Taking a day to enjoy the Magic Kingdom can be a bit daunting if you don't know where to start. Thankfully, there are several ways to spend one day in Magic Kingdom Park that will help you make the most of your time.
It's always good to check out the official My Disney Experience app. This free downloadable app will give you the latest wait times for every ride, show and attraction. It's also a good idea to use your My Disney Experience app to plan out your route. This will help you minimize time spent in lines.
When deciding which attractions to visit, try to pick the best ones to suit your family's age and interests. You can also opt to take advantage of Early Entry if available. This gives you an extra 30 minutes before the gates open. This will give you the best chance to see the most popular rides in the shortest amount of time.
A trip to the Magic Kingdom isn't complete without experiencing the Magic Kingdom firework show. This is one of the most unique shows in all of Disney World and it should be a part of your day plan. It's also a great photo opp. You'll want to find a spot down Main Street USA to take in the spectacle.
In addition to the aforementioned fireworks show, the Magic Kingdom is home to a variety of other entertainment. This includes stage shows, short parades and character greetings.
If you have a Genie+ card, you'll want to plan your day around these rides. These cards will allow you to skip queues for the majority of the park's rides. The best part is that you can take the same card with you to the resort.
Aside from the fireworks, the other big attraction at the Magic Kingdom is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. This is the cheapest way to get around the park. In addition, it's the largest ride in the park and features the most awe-inspiring views.
Another must do at the Magic Kingdom is to watch the Tangled toilets. This may seem a little over the top, but it's a pretty photo opp.
Epcot
Despite being one of the most visited parks in the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT is a family friendly affair. As such, you can spend an afternoon frolicking around the World Showcase without having to worry about the little ones. Thankfully, the park's pixie dusted princesses haven't quite figured out that they're not princesses yet.
The park has one thing going for it, a plethora of activities and attractions. So, what should you do first? Of course, you'll want to have a plan in place before you embark on your quest to see what all the hoopla is. You'll also want to consider your budget as well as your patience. Of course, it's not all fun and games, so don't expect to be handed a free ticket to the theme park of your dreams. Luckily, you'll find plenty of Disney nerds to talk to, and some pretty cool kids to boot.
You'll also find plenty of perks like free breakfast, free wifi, and free parking. Of course, you'll need to plan your route carefully to avoid the inevitable hordes, but as long as you're in the know you'll be able to enjoy a magical day at the park. The best part is you won't have to leave your resort hotel to get in the game. The best time to visit is midday, so get there early for the most memorable experience.
